Duo-Therm Furnace Model 65515 troubleshooting Wally 12-10-08
I have a 1979 vintage travel trailer at a hunting camp. Pilot stays on and I have to jump the thermostat wires where they connect to the furnace and sometimes bang on the connection "box" to get furnace to ingnite. Then when temp increases to thermostat setting the furnace kicks off but will not kick back on unless I repeat the process. I have replaced the thermostat. I am looking for a simple fix. Thanks for any suggestions. Wally

I have a Duo THerm Model 65515-002 LP furnace in my 1980's model Mallard trailer. The pilot will light with some coaxing and will ignite the burner but after a few seconds there will be click and the burner will go out and the pilot light will also go out. Also when I try to light the pilot it sounds like the gas is blasting out and there is turbulence and until it quites down the piot will not stay lit. I tried a new thermocouple and the results were the same. Can you please help me. I could use the help soon to have the trailer ready for our hunting season.

My Duo-Therm Model 65515-002 pilot light comes on with a good flame, as soon as I let the button go it goes out. I don't even come close to getting the furnace on.
Propane is coming in, the Coleman is hooked direct & it works without a problem.
