Re: pulling a 31 ft.soverign by Lyall Sherred
Post New Message I pull a 31 foot 1983 Airstream with a 95 Ford diesel. I would recommend at 3/4 ton chasis. I used to pull a 26 foot 1968 Airstream with a 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It was ok on the flat land but inadequate for hills. (We live in Colorado!) You need a 3/4 chasis as much for the heavier brakes as for the motor. I really like the Ford diesel. Others like the Dodge diesel. The 350 gas engines are ok except in the mountains and the bigger gas engines can drink gas. Lyall
