Re: pulling a 31 ft.soverign by Sam Nalley
Post New Message I have an '84 31-ft Airstream International which is probably close to the weight of the Soverign. Loaded it tips the scales at almost 7000 lb. I pulled it for a while with an '85 GMC Suburban 1500. Had a lot of transmission trouble. So I now use a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 TurboDiesel. It does great in these east Tennessee hills. I really like to have a 20 % to 30 % cushin between the tow vehicle rating and the loaded weight of the trailer.
