|Re: Western Horizon lawsuit by Fred and Linda Marti|
|We also received the letter dated November 2, 2015 a couple of weeks ago that we are now members of Colorado Dream Vacations (CDV) and Blue Mesa Recreational Ranch (BMRR) with 2 options for dues: Option 1: Dues $299.00 (our site fees will be $5 per night at Blue Mesa) or Option 2: Dues $449.00 (site fees at $0 per night at Blue Mesa. We became members of Western Horizons in 2007 (Membership fee $6,074) and were pressured to do an upgrade to the "Ultimate" membership (in June, 2009 for $2844) so all together we paid close to $10,000 and then paid annual dues each year. Our home park was Desert Pools in California but when we did the upgrade, we were told that we needed to make Blue Mesa our home park which we did. We only stayed at Blue Mesa once a few years ago and only for a few days as we could not get cell service and internet service was terrible. Since I could not get calls from my aging mother, we had to leave and vowed NEVER to return to that park. Now they want dues of $299 for $5 per night to a place we never want to go to again. We have been so disappointed since joining as the parks have continued to be sold that we regularly did like to stay. Now if we would have kept Desert Pools as our home park, we could stay there now for $15 a night but since they told us we needed to change our home park to Blue Mesa, we have to pay $20 a night to stay there. So where the "Utimate" was to provide us with nightly dues of $2 a night, we find that there are no parks available now for that rate.
We do NOT want to pay the $299 for the dues they are now asking to stay at a park, we will NOT go back to anymore. So we would like to know do we HAVE to pay these dues? We would also like information how to join the class action suit as for nothing else, maybe we can get out of paying these annual dues as ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!!
