I am looking to buy a 31' airstream TT
in the next few weeks. I've never towed
anything bigger than a popup. The unit
I'm looking at has not been mover for a
sigificant period of time. I know the
tires will have to be replaced as well
as the bearings, but what about brakes?
I assume the trailer came stock with
them(It is a '73 model). I have to
travel about 400 miles to pick up the
trailer. Should I buy the controller
ahead of time and install it or wait
and have a shop where I'm buying the
trailer redo the brakes and install
the controller so they can test the
system as a whole?
Also, I will be towing with a '96
Suburban with a 350. Anyone have
experience with this rig towing
a 31 footer?
Any advice anyone can give me would
be greatly appreciated.
