|Restoring '74 SilverStreak 33' by Cliff Arnell|
|We've been bringing everything back to working order after a hard freeze ruined the plumbing, fixtures and toilet. So far, so good except...
There is a Therm'x 326 heater on the wall by the door with a pilot light that won't stay lit. I feel certain the thermocouple sensor has failed as I can watch the pilot flame go out the moment I release pressure from the start button. *bummer*. Would anyone know where to get a replacement sensor for this, apparently French made heater. (It may very well be the catalytic type, but the pilot light and sensor are visible inside the grid frame where I can watch the pilot light burning and then instantly going out when I release the button.)
Are all thermocouple with similar thread sizes able to send to the gas controller? If I tear into this and remove the sensor, is there any likelihood a furnace repair shop will be able to get me a replacement?
Thanks to who(m)ever :)
