I think we are very nearby with our garaged 1995 Eurovan Full-Camper. The coincidence is that I am taking pictures and placing our first ads tomorrow.
We are fanatics about maintenence and care and have done what we think will give another 100,000 trouble-free and enjoyable miles. We bought it in 1997 and have 105,000 miles.
We have three typed pages of detail including maintenance records, a Eurovan "library" and over $6,000 in enthusiast (radar, driving lights, GPS) safety (new dual deep-cycle house batteries, 8 professionallly added lights (VW neglected task and reading lights) Truck air horns with compressor, tank and tool-capable connections and a superb ($3,000) audiophile system.
I could go on and on. You should see and test it if you are still in the market. We are retired and have sadly escalated our way into 3 houses, 10 vehiles and 3 cats. The Eurovan just doesn't fit us anymore. Price? $14,500 on Craigs list, Samba.com and Gowesty.com. Pretty low. Our local quick sale, no ads, no tire-kickers price is $12,500. I doubt there is anything comparable in set-up or condition.
The body is accident and rust free with typical parking bruises and touched-up stone chips. The interior is absolutely like new (as an extreme, the stove is unused. Good hunting! (617) 965-3234.
I recently moved from San Francisco to Indianapolis for family reasons, and need to sell my 2000 VW Eurovan Camper. I am the original owner. It has approx. 50,000 miles and is in pretty good shape. Please e-mail me if you are interested.
There is a very clean 1997 Eurovan Camper with only 39,000 miles advertised in the Seattle craigslist. That is an excellent price given that very low mileage and would be worth flying out there and driving it back. My wife and I own a 1999 Eurovan Camper which we bought about a year ago after I did considerable research. The best advice I can give you is buy one with as low mileage as possible. Expect most used campers are going to have a 90,000 miles or more on them. There many very expensive parts which you will have to replace if you buy one with high mileage. It is very common for the Eurovan transmissions to go out at 100,000-120,000 miles at a cost of $6,000! Good luck. John
If anyone is still looking.....I have decided to sell my 2002 Winnebago camper Eurovan. 60,000 miles and in great shape. The camper has lived in San Diego so no rust! I am asking 37,000.00.
Blessings,
Donna
