I've been told that the Eberspacher BN4 heater uses a very specialized fuel pump that delivers only precisely metered fuel, and that no other fuel pump will work.
However, looking at the service manual for that heater, it appears that the BN4 has a pressure regulator of its own, and that the standard fuel pump merely receives power to pump fuel--I don't see anything indicating that it "precisely meters" fuel.
Bottom line is that it looks to me like (contrary to what I'm being told) a low-pressure fuel pump that would normally feed a carburetor should work as well.
