Post New Message Batteries are so varied it almost takes an engineer to figure it out; having said that, your aux. battery should be a deep cycle. I went for a yellow top Optima 34/78 Gel battery $ 140. USD and a battery gauge to ensure I don't drop below 9.5 volts before re-charging,
