I hope someone can help me! I have had my 1976 Bay window camper for a year now, and she has already given me so much pleasure, driving it is a dream and camping in her is what I would like to do as a full time job!! The one problem I have may take some explaining but any help with this would be gratefully appreciated. Basically, it has this fuel problem, which seems to happen randomly, whereby the fuel line appears to get blocked, the van slows to a stop, having lost all power, and the way to fix it is to blow very hard down the fuel line to get the petrol started again. Since having the bus, I have changed the engine (so the problem cannot be there!) We have changed the lines running from engine to tank, changed the petrol cap, changed the filter and STILL the bus continues to stop in this way. I know that we are spritually linked to our buses, I am worried that she is cursed!!! Help!
Sounds like you have debris in your fuel tank. As you drive it gets pull into the fuel line, and you blow it back into the tank when you blow the fuel line. Drop the tank and clean it out. Most radiator shops can chemicly clean it if it is real bad.
