Wow! That sounds really bad if the Eurovan campers had to be returned through the lemon act. Do you know what the problems were, and if the newer models are better?
We bought a 2001 Eurovan camper new and have enjoyed using it! No problems. It has been to the East coast and to the West coast and Canada.
It's proven to be a well-designed, dependable machine.
We are putting it up for sale this week (which is how I came across this discussion) but only because we have to have a pickup due to our having to need to begin transporting heavy materials in an open bed beginning this spring.
It has 30,000 miles on it--almost all highway miles and is super clean inside and out.
It's a wonderful and versatile family or grandparent/grandchild vehicle as it is easy to drive, easy to park, comfortable, and fits nicely into a standard garage.
I JUST BOUGHT A CA LEMON. IT WAS A 2001 CAMPER VW AND FULLY EQUIPED. THE PROBLEM WAS THE EPC LIGHT KEEP COMING ON. THE DEALER FINALLY REPLACED THE FILTERS AND AIR FLOW SENSORS. EVERYTHING NOW WORKS GREAT. VW HAD 21000 MILES. I ALSO GOT A 12 MONTH/10K BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. BOPUGHT THIS ON E-BAY AND GOT A GOOD DEAL.
