Re: Eurovan Camper Dan Michels 1-19-03
Bought a 2000 in Feb 2001 after quitting job in Dec. Traveled around lower 48 last 2 winters, including Baja. Van has been great, but have gone back to work with no time to travel. Problems with Van:
Neck of gas tank broke-warranty.
Ignition sensor malfunction-warranty.
Fridge did not work last time I tried, but I have not checked into it. Problems with refers using propane seem to be common with VWs. Amazingly, I have no picture, but if interested, I can take some and e-mail. We are in Alaska, but I bet you always wanted to come up here anyway. Good luck. E-mail if interested. 28,000 miles.

Have you found your VW Eurovan camper yet?

If not, we are selling our 2001 with 32,000 miles for $29,900. (almost all highway miles)

It is very, very clean and has been kept in a heated garage when not on the road. And everything works as far as we know, including the refrigerator which we had fixed.

Our camper as the bigger engine used first, I think, in 2001. It runs great!!! A 140 HP VR6 2.8 litre.

It also has a Sony AM-FM CD unit.

Have 2000 Eurovan Camper bought new in Feb of 2001. Have 28,000 miles. Located in Alaska. Traveled last 2 winters in SW USA and into Baja. Have gone back to work and will no longer have time to travel (driving).
Van History:
broken neck to gas tank-warranty.
Ignition sensor malfunction-warranty.
Fridge is now not working on propane, but I have not checked into it. Seems to be common in VWs. E-mail if interested and I can send pictures.
Re: Eurovan Camper Reid Buell 2-9-03
I saw your message on the RVGuide website about your Eurovan. My wife and I are thinking about buying one for camping and traveling. Are you happy with yours. The refrigerator problem seems troubling.
Would you have bought the Eurovan, given what you know now? Are there any other similar vehilces you would consider. Thanks, Reid.

Re: Eurovan Camper Dan Michels 2-10-03
We are selling the van for $30K
Do we like it? Yes! Would we buy it again? Yes! Would I make some changes to it in a perfect world? Yes! We are selling our van because we are going back to work and know that we will not be able to "use" it for the next five years. The refer problem is something that I have not even tried to fix, as it is winter in Alaska and I don't need a fridge. I have directions that I pulled off the internet on how to deal with the common problems that these refers have, but I have not taken the time to deal with it. If we were still not working, or even had time to use the van, we would keep it. No doubt! For two people who are somewhat agile (getting up on top for sleeping could be difficult for some)and somewhat adventurous, the van is great. Beats the heck out of one of the big motorhomes. Incidentally, one of the big pluses about the camper van compared to the "weekender" is the tent in the pop up camper. I have never been in the weekender, but have noticed the lack of the zipper down flaps that are on all three sides of the campervan. Can't tell ya how great the tent part is. We have seen the northern lights, meteor showers, the pacific surf, and a sow griz with two cubs out of the top of our van. Love it! Other great things about the van: 20 mpg. An awning that came in handy on the Baja, the deserts of Utah as well as the rains of Alaska. A 3 disc CD with remote so you can be up top with the controls. And quite a bit of storage.
All for now

I am selling a 97 eurovan that is in great shape - it does have 80,000 freeway miles on the car but is like new and will sell knowing that the buyer would be very happy with what they got and what it cost. all minor issues will be fixed for buyer.

asking 23,000 OBO for the car

lots of extras too!

Hi,

Where are you located. I am in the Seattle area. Is there a transferable warrantee?
Re: Eurovan Camper Danielle 2-13-07
Hello,

I live in Toronto as well. Is there any way I could come and take a look at the eurovan? What part of town do you live in?

Thanks,

danielle
