Duo-Therm Comfort Control Center M.Moore 7-30-07
Hi,
We need to replace our Comfort Control Center part # 3106463.007 with the replacement part # 3310009000. One is 4 button and the replacement is 5 button. Do they interchange easily or does it require any rewiring between the Control Center and the A/C units?
Thanks,
M.Moore

A/C Control board for 4 button CCC Jerry Horst 3-4-08
I have a well functioning 3 unit (620315) A/C system in my bus conversion being controled by one 4 button 3106463.007 Comfort control Center, which does support 4 zones.
I wish to add a 4th A/C unit. Is it possible to obtain a working (possibly rebuit) control board which I could install into a new (600315 or 620526) A/C unit so that it could communicate with and be controled by my existing system?
Thanks for your help!

I have installed a 5 wire control center and discovered the phone cable sent with the upgrade had not been modified, this required changing the connector and correctly rearranging the wires. Next the phone jack on the thermostat had one pin recessed and did not make contact. Reset the pin and it worked. Lastly the feed through phone jack supplied with the unit was also defective and had to be replaced. Finally after 4 days of trial and error it is on line and working fine. Chech out the phone connections and make sure they are not defective before calling a service rep.

I to have a Comfort Control Duo-Therm 3106463.007 that you have to push the up button numerous time to increase the temperature. Sounds as this this is a common problem among this particular PCB. What is the solution?

Re: Duo-Therm Comfort Control Center John scull 8-4-08
Do you still have rebuilt boards available? I have two duo therm 59530.601 units with 3106481.009 boards
(with a 4 button control unit). The front board is burned out - when front unit is started we get an electical smell from board. I can also see evidence of a waxxy substance at the base of a few components on the board. There was a problem with our electical supply that caused this initially. Rear unit seems to work OK except it doesn't always shut off at set temp.

Bill Hendrix,

Do I understand that I can purhase a rebuilt 4 button controller? I, too, am having trouble with mine and don't quite know what to do. I would appreciate any help you could give me. My on-off switch works fine... my problem is that the controller seems to lock up at times with furnace mode refusing to go off. This then keeps the air cond. from working ar all. HELP! Thanks-Richard

Re: Duo-Therm Comfort Control Center joe little 1-15-11
Mr Moore and any other with the thermostat problems. I took my 4 button unit to an electronics shop and had them re-solder the switch connecttions on the back of the circuit board. it is working fine. The place that did this was a tv and electronics repair shop. Worth a try when the alternative is close to 1000 if someone else does it. Cost me $30.00

Re: Duo-Therm Comfort Control Center roy stark 7-6-08
Loks like Duo-Therm has some real issues with their four button Comfort Control. Mine was like all of yours and i had read an article in FMCA, I believe their July or August 2007 issue, where you could take the unit apart and carefully re-bend the brass contact under the push button so they would once again make contact. I tried but did not bend properly and made it worse. Can you buy just the brass bars? I am now proficient in the R&R of the unit after many attempts to properly bend the contact.

I have the part # 3106463.007 Controler will the new unit # 3109228.001 switch out? Will it need any changes is wiring?
Re: Duo-Therm Comfort Control Center J Fucik 7-6-10
Why are you changing your 4 button for a 5 button. Did u install a new air conditioner? I am in the process of installing a new airconditioner and may have two good 3106463.007 Comfort Control Centers. I bought the MH in Feb and there was a spare CCC in its original container so I swapped it out with the fully operational installed unit and they both work fine.
Re: Duo-Therm Comfort Control Center Jim Land 11-7-10
Cleaning the switches does help

My 16-year old 4-switch control board behaved erratically -- it turned on OK, the display lit up OK, but pushing any of the 4 switches either did nothing or did something random. The two AC units and the furnace worked OK, which localized the problem to the thermostat.

Switches get dirty inside, which means they don't make electrical contact properly. This is especially a problem in RVs, with travel dust and dirt getting into the switches.

I cleaned the 4 switches with "Radio Shack TV-Tuner/Control Cleaner & Lubricant #64-4315" and it worked 100% OK again.

For those who don't wish to attempt this, try Googling for the part number to find sources of rebuilt/refurbished parts, searching e-Bay, or contacting the person in this discussion who provides them.

Need to purchase a Duo Therm thermostst # 3105453.007. Mine is totally shot. It is a 4 button. Is it just a plug and work or do I need to climb up on the roof and get a number off each unit? Where is the number on the unit? and do I need to program anything?
Re: Duo-Therm Comfort Control Center William Cody 12-31-10
My control center in my RV does not make ref to a furnace or heating capability. Strictly air and cool. There is a furnace installed underneath the refrig. There are also vents in the floor for heating. How is the heat pump supposed to work if there is no control center?
Sure would appraciate and answer.
Thanks

I have unfortunately inserted the three prong 120 volt plug into a 240 volt outlet, I am hoping that the damage is issolated to the thermostat and that if so I can purchase a new or upgraded thermostat to be cooling again. Any troubleshooting advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

Re: Duo-Therm Comfort Control Center Terry Lookabill 7-4-12
I have a duo-therm unit on my motor home with thermostat, Part #3106463.007. Everything works fine on the heating side, Furnace and heat strip. But on the AC side my unit cools for a few minutes then the compressor shuts down for a few minutes then kicks back on for a minute or so. This on and off cycle just continues, and because of this the coach never really cools down.

My dealer thinks it is the thermostat. Could it be with the furnace working fine?

My comfort control center 3106463.007 is not working properly. 2nd a/c only comes on sporadically. Sometimes the unit is backlit when turned on but not always. very difficult to get from front area to back (mode/control being pushed together). Do you still recondition these?
