Hi,im having trouble with furnace.Blower comes on then shuts off.I don't hear the ignition clicks.Could it be the limit switch. If so could you please tell me the procedure to take it out.I have a Jayco eagle 2003.model of furnace is 8531IV.I actually already started taking things apart.I had board apart.Gas disconnected and gas valve off with ignitor.Got half of fan casing off to try and take off motor unit to get a limit switch but couldn't get it off.I will look for set screw mentioned earlier in post i saw.Do i need to take all of furnace out to get at the limit switch to test conductivity or taking fan out will be enough. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: hydro flame fan removal Keith 3-30-08
Turn off propane, remove one screw from the timer relay (has 4 wires going to it on left front cover) loosen the other and pull it loose. Remove 4 screws from the plastic cover it is on and remove the cover, remove the PC board, remove the exhaust tube, take the propane line loose, take the igniter wire(red)loose and one quick disconnect wire (both on propane line side), remove 3 - 4 screws from rear that hold the burner in and one on the round edge, pull out the burner, loosen set screw on the small fan, hold the large fan and rock the small one while pulling to remove it. There are 3 hex screws behind the small fan remove them and you should be able to pull the motor and blower fan out as one assembly. Remove and install fan on new motor, reverse all this to install. You may have to change one wire connector on the new motor to hook it up. Pay attention to where the motor wires were connected as the motor will run backwards if you reverse them. Hope this helps, good luck! Keith Note: this is for II & III series. IV is similar, but the motor is held in with a hose clamp, it isn’t hard to figure out the difference‘s.
Re: hydro flame fan removal Joe 8-19-13
I have a HydroFlame 8535 IV and have the squeaky motor syndrome on startup. Have succeeded in removing the motor cover, but can not get the motor out of the housing. The small fan on the right will not come off the shaft. I see no set screws and have tried WD40. I see no way to access that portion of the unit without taking the entire furnace out.

Is there something I am missing in removing to slide the motor out?

Re: hydro flame fan removal Jim Estabrook 10-9-11
My fan motor has started to squeal on startup. It will quiet down after a few minutes, and the furnace works ok. Can the bearings be repalced or lubed? If not, how do I get the motor out?
Re: hydro flame fan removal Aman 1-9-11
Without reading any of these posts, I removed my 8535-II furnace into my 1990 HR Alumalite RV in Truckee CA. (Outside temp 38F.) After removing the motor and shoving some grease into the bearings and reinstalling everything, it runs quieter. However, it is still making some little noises. The bearing on the blower wheel side was worn and sloppy so I get that I'll soon take it all apart again to replace the motor.
Where to find sail/limit switch derry 12-13-09
Intermittent working. sometimes will light, stays on awhile then goes off. other times will not light at all. Is it the dsi board or fault with sail switch/limit?

Re: hydro flame fan removal Pat OConnor 4-25-13
I have an Atwood 8520-IV furnace which I am trying to replace the motor. The blower fans are plastic with small clips over each fan. I have removed the clips expanded the slots sprayed the shaft with WD-40 but I can only get it to move about 1/4" on the shaft with no movement on the combustion fan. Should I just order new plastic blowers and break the old ones up or is there some trick to getting those off the existing shaft? Thank you for your time and advice.
