1975 Prowler Travel Trailer and Duo Therm Heater Janet 1-4-08
I have a 1975 Prowler Travel Trailer with a Duo Therm Heater. The heater is toast!
I need the same features it has. It is vented, has a constantly lit pilot light and no fan. This is perfect for my circumstances on a mountain with an inverter I shut off at night.
Does anyone know the model number for this heater? I cannot remove pieces to find it as it already has rusted through parts and stripped screws and I still have to use it until I can replace it.
I'm also looking for any info on a replacement furnace.

Hi Janet, I advise you NOT to use this furnace! You risk carbon monoxide poisoning if parts are rusted thru etc. A good chance the burner chamber is rusted thru also. Unsafe and dangerous!! Usually a Suburban NT series furnace will replace the Duo Therm with some modifications, but is the easiest. Good luck!
