95 ford 460 in a pace arrow. after driving 60 miles in 90+ degree heat, over a mountain pass on the way down the other side the engine lost power. like it was running out of gas. the rpm would surge until you gave it lots of fuel to go. is this a vapor lock symptom. made the same trip going home in about 80+ degree heat, had no problems.

Vapor lock only occurs in a carburated engine. If your rig is fuel injected, this is not vapor lock; If your rig is carburated, this MAY be vapor lock, but it could also be a few other things as well. Hope that helps!
