I have a Onan Emerald 4000, 1990, starts, but will not continue to run once starter is released. Appears control board and Voltage regulator are fine, (switched them out, but no change), tested resistance between brushes, and it was over 100K, should be 25 ohms or so. Can the armiture/collector go bad. Or is there something else I should be checking? Thanks

I have same problem except how did you test the resistanceon onthe brushes have you fixed it yet
