Duo therm ac unit. The compressor run when the switch is on without the fan. If themostate calls for cool the fan runs. If you leave fan on cont. run the compressor will cycle on & off as thermostate calls. Bad board???

Scott; Duo-therm What?? They make several. All are different controles. You could have 2 15K heatpumps, or 2 brisk airs, or penguins, ducted or not... all have different control. if you have a wall thermo... it could be that. Take the 'cool' wire off and see. If it is a penguin touch... board & touch together. penguin manual... fan swich. Sorry, you just didn't give enough for me to aim for. Carl

1992 Duo-Therm Model 610015 (roof mounted, not ducted)- When power is turned on for A/C unit shuts off and low power light activates. This occurs both when park power is in use or generator is running. Check of electrical service indicates 20 amps available. Bypass of controls allows compressor to run so compressor is not bound. There are two circuit boards in the unit - one near the compressor and a smaller board on which the thermostat and controls are mounted. The unit will run on fan or heat, but when set on cool it shuts down after several seconds and the low power light activates.
