Do the helper springs sold by camping world really work? Are they a good idea? Will I get some additional ground clearence on my 98 Bounder? Will I need a front end alignment if I add this spring?

First I would ask why you want more clearance on the front? Is it lower than the rear sitting on the level? Is it overloaded? Tire/chassis design. Remember that part of the reason the front air dam is as close as it is to the ground is to reduce wind resistance. Raise it, and you will lose a little mileage. As to an alignment, Yes you will need one if you raise the front as it doesnt take much to change the toe on a GM chassis. If it really is low now, you man need a alignment now as it may be lower that it was when set at the factory.
My coch and all other coaches I've seen (p30 or whatever chevy truck) have a down attitude in the front; even the last of the ones that chevy made. My coach has only 10k miles on it and it has had this same attitude since the beginning. The helper spring I mentioned is specifically advertised by Camping World as a "fix" for this problem. Thier tech support says it is OK to use. A frame and spring shop for big trucks told me that the springs were discontinued by other manufacturers due to some concerns but could not tell me what they were. thanks
