Can you help me? When I take a test light and hook to the ground wire, the tank has current. I have taken all the wires loose from the tank and it still has current. What could I do to correct this problem? Have you or anyone that you are aware experienced the same kind of problem and how did they fix it. Thanks for your help. Frank

Let's see if I've got this correct. If you take a known 12 volt hot wire and connect or touch one end of your test light to it and the other to the tank of your heater, the test light comes on? Remember, the gas supply to your water heater is through rigid, black iron piping, which the RV manufacturers sometimes use as a common ground.
