Home Duo Therm A/C-Furnace Traci L. McGivern 5-7-01
Hopefully I can get an answer or two here :) I searched everywhere under DuoTherm but have only found RV sites so here goes.....I have an older doublewide mobile home with a Duo Therm A/C-Furnace (forced air) the furnace works fine but the outside fan for the A/C will not turn on it's own. I can hear it humming so I know power is getting to it and the fan will turn freely by hand, but there seems to be a problem between getting the power to the fan this year. Please help if you can :)

The humming you hear might be the contactor.Your condensor [the unit outside]has a 24volt ac control that controls the 220v ac power. If you can't hear of feel the compressor running[ The round item under the fan] you need to check the 220v power. If the power checks out you might have a capactor bad.If everything checks out let me know and I'll try and walk you throught other checks. Harold
