Out there in your RVing! Friday I was driving home on I4 in Tampa and headed into the Flying J travel plaza for gas. No good. Full of fire trucks, police cars, hoses, TV trucks, a few spectators. It was on the news later, a man left the Lazy Days RV next door with a brand new Bounder, pulled in for his first fillup, and hit a pump starting the fire. Driver hospitalized, wife not injured, RV a total loss. Bigger disaster prevented by one man hitting the pump shutoff and another pulling the man from the RV. Turns out the owner is 90 years old. No details whether this was his first coach. We just gotta always be vigilant. Travel safe and God Bless, jd |
