My amplified rooftop TV antennae appears to not be working. I checked the signal strength with the amp on and off and it reads the same. NOt sure if amp is bad or if something else is wrong. I don't get a picture at all. Seems if the amp was gone I would still get a picture without the amp, but I don't.

The amp is gone--if it burns out it won't allow a signal thru it. U could check for an open diode on the circuit board of the amp, a common failure.
