Have an Onan 6.5 gas gen. It will run approximately 20 min. and then shut down - can restart right away and then run app. 10 min and then shut down. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you, Bernie

I just went through the same thing. Relpaced the oil pressure switch, didn't fix it. Did many hours of other diagnostics to no avail. Replaced the new oil pressure switch and that fixed it. You can confirm a bad pressure switch by grounding the wire that is connected to it and running your gen. I Would advise that you test oil pressure with a guage first though, just in case your pressure is not good. If the gen runs an hour with the switch wire grounded but only a short time with it connected to the switch you have your problem solved.

Hope this helps
