Re: 2way to 3way refridgerator conversion by Ray steele
Post New Message The subject says it all, does anyone have any idea how I might convert a 2 way (propane/DC) fridge to be able to also use AC? Thanks

Some ideas to fool around with. Remove the 12 volt heating unit and replace it with a 115 volt unit. Then, use the 12 volts from the fridge controller to operate a relay to turn the 115 volt unit on and off. Sounds simple, did I overlook something?

Why not use a 120 volt to 12 volt converter and when you have shore power or generator, switch your fridg over to run through the ac powered converter.
