What makes my Atwood water heater make the water smell like onions. SNIP More than likely it's the sacrifical "anode rod" that needs replacing... The rods main purpose is to prevent buildup of crude in the tank... As it ages, it literally starts to disappear and in your case is probably gone... Replace the rod and clean the tank and your "onions" should disappear... Best Regards, Les
