There is almost no difference, the gas milage is determined by the frontal area of the coach , and the speed you go through the air.
Weight doesnt matter very much, and with a fairly new coach {less than 40 years} the choice of engine doesnt change the fuel use too mutch.
534 Fords get 2 to 4 mpg , but everything else is fine.

Right on the button. It takes a certain amount of power to overcome wind resistance, road angle, inertia, component friction, etc. To achieve this power, a certain amount of fuel must be converted into a useable form, (expanding gases), engine size doesn't change the equation, except for maximum engine output. Engine effeciency in converting the fuel into useable power will make a difference between makes, but there is not much difference in this respect between the different makes of engines. |
