Does anyone know if the air pumps on the 454 engine can be rebuilt or do they have to be replaced when they seize? Is there a rebuilt kit available and how difficult is it to do it? Does it require any specialized tools? Finally how expensive is it?

Does it require any specialized tools? Finally how expensive is it? I'm not aware of any rebuild kits sold to general public. These pumps are available at most auto supply stores for $40-$50 exchange.
