Installing additional fresh water tank Sean Robbins 11-7-01
I have a 23 ft Four Winds class C, which only has a 25 gallon fresh water tank. As I'm not sure that I can fit in a larger (i.e., 40 gallon), I am considering installing a second tank.

Has anyone out there done something similar to this, and if so, what words of wisdom can them empart? Thanks.

Sean,

Well, I kind of have installed an extra water tank.... I actually carry an additional 30 gallons of water in the auxilary tank I carry in the truck bed... When needed, I simply pump it into the main 40 gallon tank in the TT... If you have a decent size pickup truck, that could be one answer...

You could probably install an auxilary tank underneath the trailer assuming there is room, but be careful where you install it from a standpoint of effecting trailer balance/tongue weight... Also, if installed under the TT, I would add some type of rock shield to,protect the tank from road hazards...

Best Regards,
Les
