Dometic American won't start Gayle 7-4-06  
Unit ran fine in very hot weather for a week. Turned off and towed home -- 4 hrs on road -- unhooked and leveled trailer, plugged into house current, turned on refrig. Clicking sound (like when starting on gas) for several minutes, then "Check" light came on.

Nothing in owners manual to suggest cause.

Any ideas?

It could be a plugged orifice. I have seen the smallest piece of debris stop the unit from working.

If the unit is plugged into a/c, then the refer swhould have switched to a/c. But, since it is ticking it sounds like it is trying to light on gas. You need to verify pwr. to the coach and pwr. at the outlet that the refer is plugged into. If all is ok, a trip to a repair shop may be in order
