Dometic Removal TexasPete 7-3-06
Anyone have any opinions and/or experience with removing a Dometic fridge in a travel trailer? In terms of opinions I'm looking at buying one of those electric-only fridges available at Home Depot (I believe its a Magic Chef) as I've never been thrilled with the performance of the Dometic. Regrading removal, I'm looking for hints like where the hidden screws are etc. I haven't really torn into it so the removal part may be very easy once i get started.

thanks

Check the Dometic web site -- find the specific manual for your model and follow the installation instructions in reverse.

Usually just the screws in the front secure it. One gas line, and the electric connection.

There are screw caps inside the door. also in the platform it sits on, from the access door from the outside. I replaced mine this year w/a home depot model, and cannot understand why anyone would want to go through that gas bit.
