Re: 94 Geo Tracker Jerry Woody 7-1-06
I get the Tracker started and it runs about 5 seconds and dies. I tried to run down the problem and so far have found blown fuse for Fuel Injectors. If I replace the fuse it starts and then dies again after blowing the fuse again. I put in a breaker so I could trace wires for shorts and the breakers overheats and the same thing happens I have to either wait till the braker cools and try again or replace the ufse and have it keep blowing. Any suggestions as to cause?
Re: re: 94 Geo Tracker Phil Feinstein 7-3-06
Remove the wiring harness for the injectors and work you way across it; it sounds like you have a short to ground.

Since 99.9% of the time the injectors ground through the fuel computer, this is not something you want to mess with by using a breaker or "Buzzer". This requires hand tracing with the battery disconnected and using an Ohmmeter.

Hope that helps!
