Atwood 8535 DCLP will not come on Tracy 12-17-17
Furnace Question: Montana 3455 has a Dometic 10 button thermostat. Temps here (Ga) have been dipping into the low 30's past couple of days, so the furnace has been running through-out the nite. This morning it will not kick on. Dual bottles of propane connected to an auto switch regulator. My first thought was the regulator didn't switch, it did. next I checked the full tank(just had it refilled) maybe the value is stuck closed? does not appear to be the problem, stove and refrigerator are both getting gas. How do I check or tell if the thermostat is bad? (i did do a reset still nada.) or if the furnace has died? (I did check the thermostat and the AC...the AC did kick on...
thanks in advance tracy

Hi Tracy, hard to tell from here... you didn't say if the fan runs. If it does, it's not the T-stat. Could be a few things, but before you spend money changing parts have the circuit board tested at an RV shop. If it's an Atwood with an outside access door it's easy to remove and take in. If a Suburban...or Atwood without an access door, not so much. Either remove the furnace and take it in, or call a mobile RV tech, or take it to a shop for troubleshooting and repairs. Good luck

I have a Atwood 8525 iv dclp furnace in my 2005 pioneer travel trailer and have to keep resetting the reset switch on the furnace to keep it operating, What is the purpose of this rest switch, should it be replaced ? My circuit Board was bench tested and was OK.

Hi Gene, the reset switch is actually a circuit breaker. You either have a short somewhere or the motor is drawing to many amps. It is possible the CB is weak, but not very likely. Good luck.

My Hydro flame 8940 starts, burns a couple seconds, goes out, a few seconds later fires up, goes out, fires up...... fan continues to run and it continues to cycle. any idea?
