Check valve in water line? Paul 3-13-03
Both connections where you put water in the coach, one where you connect the hose and the larger one where you hold a hose up to it to fill the tank, both lines go to the water tank.Should the one where you hold the hose to fill have a check valve in that line so if you have it connected to the park water and the tank gets full it does not run back out the other line? Mine does not have a check valve but does have a straight piece of PVC like the hose has been repaired. Maybe a check valve was there and someone removed it not knowing what they were doing unless the check valve is in the filtting at the tank.

Is this an old metal tank or plastic? If it is metal it could be pressurized, but if it is plastic, it shouldn't be. It sounds like somebody has bypassed the line that is supposed to go past the water pump, or that is just another tank fill and there is another "City" water connection somewhere else.

Re: Check valve in water line? Ramon Serrano 7-17-03
In my water tank I have tried the following valves:Ball, swing (flapper) and spring, the first two are a disaster in the line and spring is the one that works to half capacity, this one must work with a spring that can open and close with 0-25 psi.
