1980 buick v6 with fuel contamination suzy 3-8-03
Engine keeps getting gas into oil. mechanic has changed fuel pump and choke system on car. still having this problem. check engine light comes on and mechanic says it is because oil is being thinned down by gas. am i being scammed or should i continue to trust him? how dangerous is this condition? car not worth much, but trying to squeeze another year or two out of it while i am in school!!

thanks

If the fuel pump was changed, I would suspect the carburetor as being the cause of your problem. Oil polluted with gasoline is very dangerous. You could have a crancase explosion. It could destroy your engine due to lack of proper lubrication. It needs to be addressed immediately.
