Just a note to add to daves advice if its a newer ficture it may not have a washer(seat) screwed to the bottom of the stem it may have a small cup shaped seat and spring under the stem witch are very easy and inexpensive to repair.

The little tip screw on thing with the screen is called an aerator.
To fix the drip you need to shut off the water, pry the caps off of the center of handles, remove the screws, remove the handles, use a wrench to remove the stems, take the stems to the hardware store and they will sell you the washers that fit them, remove the screw that holds the washer in, remove the washer, put the new washer in it’s place, replace the screw, replace the stem and tighten, replace the handle and the screw, replace the center caps, turn on the water.
If it still keeps leaking replace the faucet.

I need a hookup that goes from the faucet to the washer to put water in it, and I was wondering what that part is called.
