Post New Message Yep, I afraid you're right. I can't figure what exactly I have. The electronics that are mounted on the engine is not the DDEC IV..so its not the very latest design. And, the newest style timer is not installed on the cam balancer?? Maybe its half a "clean air"..or maybe NJT cheated just a little. Next winter I'll pull the engine if necessary to increase the HP. The bus is off getting skin and caps, so I cannot do much to sort it out. It runs good enough to get around NCl. As long as you don't get in a hurry. I've called several Detroit shops in this area to see what it would cost to increase the HP. Most don't seem to know much about 2 cycles..or don't want to know. How much trouble did you say it would be to install a "60" series into my MCI9? Just joking. Thanks, Joe
