Thermostat/heat help! its getting cold out by Richard | |
![]() |
Hey Guys, I have a Suburban SF-30f furnace in our 2008 Mountaineer. When I turn the thermostat to call for heat, I hear a click at the A/C then a fainter one at the furnace. No heat comes on tho. I disconnected the thermostat wires from the furnace and when I connect the 2 wires from the furnace end together the furnace does ignite and run. The thermostat seems to function properly for the A/C tho I think I do remember having to "jog" the thermostat a couple times to get the A/C to come on at the beginning of summer. Can this issue be the thermostat? Ignitor board in the furnace? I can teardown the whole furnace and diagnose some issues but don't know how to figure out the electronics. Any help is much appreciated. TIA |
