|Need 1996 Ford Ranger Code Help!!!!!||J. Rojas||2-11-03|
I am seeking information on the following codes:
1.) P1443 System Control Valve. What do I need to repair/replace in order to clear this code?
2.) P0125 Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control. What do I need to repair/replace in order to clear this code?
Please respond to "firstname.lastname@example.org" before Thursday.
I thank you in advance for any help here.

1443 is most often cured by buying a new evap sensor assembly which has the new sensor and vacuum solonoid. You local ford dealer will know exactly what it is as they are replaced all the time. The 0125 is most likely a bad thermostat. The engine has to get over 170 degrees to run efficitneyt

MY 1997 RANGER CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS COME ON AND I CHECKED IT WITH A CODE SCANNER AND GOT 2 CODES #P1506,#P1443.
IT DOES NOT RUN LIKE IT USED TO, BAD GAS MILAGE AND IT PINGS ALOT UNDER LOAD. IT HAS 200,000 MILES AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE HAD ANY PROBLEMS.
I JUST CANT FIGURE THIS ONE OUT. JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT I NEED TO REPLACE OR CLEAN. I HAVE ALLWAYS DONE THE PROPER SERVICE ON IT AND IT RAN FINE TILL NOW.
IT HAS A 2.3LTR,STICK

According to the data stream accessed with the scanner, Fords go into closed loop around 140 degrees F.. As you say, minimum temp for efficient engine operation would be 170 degrees F.
