Cabana windshield Danny 2-9-03
I have a 1981 30 ft Cabana on a Chevy chassis. A tree loaded down with ice fell against my motorhome now I need both windshields and every glass shop I have gone to says that that windshield is obsolete. Has anybody else ever had my problem? The motorhome is very reliable but I can't use it withoud the windshields.

The windshield for the Cabana fiberglass body motorhomes were originally for a Chevy/Gmc tilt cab truck.

Ahhh yes, a Cabana. The Sherman tank of the motorhome industry. Your windshields were origainally made for a cabover GMC Astro,(not an Astro van). What you are looking for is a 730 and a 731 left and right. Try a truck salvage yard first and look for a cabover GMC Astro in the mid 70's to the mid 80's. Otherwise they are still available for about $200 each. You might need five men, two dogs, and a parrot to get them in, but it is worth the effort.
Good luck....

Anyone know where tires for this MH can be found. They are on Split wheel rims. Do you know if any other kind of wheels can be used other than split rims?

Cabana Motorhome Tony 3-2-10

I have a 1969 Cabana 25 foot unit. Still made of steel. I have yet to locate even a photo of a steel unit online. Anyone with any info who would like to share? Cheers Tony and Joy
Re: Cabana Motorhome Jim Terry 8-29-10
No such thing as a "steel" Cabana. Body material was either aluminum (standard rv stuff) on early models, or Molded Fiberglass.
