Air Pressure Leo Martineau 2-5-03
When starting my coach, the air pressure seems to be normal gradually creaping to the normal pressure but when it reaches 89 psi, the needle goes back to 60. After reving the engine a little higher, again the pressure seems to rise normally but does it again several times before finally going to it's normal level. Once in a while the maxi comes on at 95 psi as your leaving a stop. Please help.
Re: Air Pressure Joe 2-5-03
What is probably happening is that the air is feeding into another tank and the check valve for the other tank is sticking so that the first tank will have to build farther than normal to "bleed" over to the second tank. The spring brake is run off the second tank, so when the pressure drops enough, the brake comes on.
