Do yourself a favor. Either ccontact the manufacturer or take it to a place that installs hitches. That is one of those things that you can't fool around with and make mistakes.
At the risk of stating the obvious, please don't guess and mess with this. You should be able to contact Reese and ask for the instruction sheets, unless they balk and say "must be installed by a certified hitch installer". Which, by the way, might not be a bad idea. Towingworld in Pender NE might be able to help you get information. I know they'll FAX the instructions for something you're considering buying. It occurs to me that if the hitch you have came off of a different brand, maybe even year, of truck, it might be laid out differently than if specifically made for your truck. Some fifth wheels are set up with a slide to allow short box owners to move the coupling point back some. This is intended to help maneuver in close quarters with less chance of hitting the truck cab with the trailer. Truck I used last summer was set up like that and I found the slide so hard to use that I only did it once. You don't say if you have that on your hitch or if it's important to you. I can say for sure you'll only operate that slide while the rig is straight. Very unlikely you'll be able to operate it when you're already in a bind. Hope this helps. God Bless, jd

Just bought a used Reese 5th wheel hitch 14K. I'm going to install it in a 2009 Chevy Silverado Ext Cab. It came with a unopened bolt/installation kit. Are the bolt kits universal, or do I specificly need one for a Chevy truck? Thanks, Dave
I was recommended this amazing blog by my personal relative. I am not sure regardless of whether this particular page is actually authored by this man mainly because nobody is familiar with this kind of meticulous in relation to my situation. You happen to be great! With thanks. [url=http://mlmopportunityreviews.com/mlm reviews[/url]
