Squeeky roof line Mark 1-13-03
We own a 1992 Jamboree w/ Ford chassis. The outer roofline squeeks horribly. Can't seem to find the origin, and have tried spraying WD-40 along seems on exterior to no avail! Any other ideas? Can anyone else relate?

It sounds like something has come loose or wasn't fastened properly from new. Look for any material like dust from two surfaces rubbing together. You may have to remove some inner paneling to locate what is loose.

You could try drilling holes along roof line "if" it over laps and adding POP Rivets. Than put some Silicon seal on the rivets.

I can identify with your noise. My 1993 Tioga on a E350 Ford chassis has a horrible squeak between the truck cab top and the part of the camper body where the overhead bed is. I've tried all kind of lubes from silicon to wd-40. I am now looking into the possibility that the noise is being produced from excess movement in the camper body. The body is mounted on the truck frame by sitting on rubber cushions. I believe the cushions are colapsed and allowing excessive movement which is more than the movement coming from the original ford cab. I also believe some movement was allowed between the two but not excessive amounts. I'll let you know.
