|Transmission wont shift out of Park||David Flores||5-28-17|
|Does anyone have a clue as to why a column shift on a 1988 Itasca Sundancer will not shift out of Park?|

|The first question is : Is it parked on a slope? Then it could be just jammed and a tug by another vehicle could free it, set the park brake before placing in park from now on.|
Chock the unit so it won't roll over you while underneath !!!
Next have you crawled underneath to see if something is jammed in the shift arm on the trans or jamming the shifter under the dash or just under the floor.
Is it a cable shifter? Most are, is it seized?
At the end of all this if you disconnect the shifter cable and it moves freely then you have a problem inside the transmission.
It will need attention from a qualified person.
