|Generator remote - no start||joe murray||10-26-02|
|I have a 10KW diesel generator with remote start. Starts from outside but will ot start from the dash or panel above the fridge. Fuses ok and ground ok. What else can I check - need to get it working from inside. Thanks, Joe|

|I am no expert but I would start checking if you have power @ the fuses if so then @ the switch if so then @ the gen. when you have someone push the switch. I would say if you have power to the end then the problem is in your control board, but you just may find a broken wire from the switch to the gen.|
Happy hunting & good luck!

|Does the light on the remote switch come on when the generator is running? If not you probably have a broken wire from generator to remote switch. If so you will want to ohm oth the switch to verify that from common terminals to one side is 0 ohms when it is depressed one direction and from common terminal to the other when depressed in the other direction. If not you have a bad switch. If so then you will need to ohm out the wires between generator and remote switch and repair any bad connections. If the switch at the generator starts and stops the generator the remote switch will do the same (no bad board) when all the wires and switches are good. Good luck in tracking down the problem.|
