|Duotherm furnace too hot?||Keith||2-2-16|
|I have a 70's era Duotherm with the manual ignitor and pilot, works fine|
but case gets too hot to touch during operation and unit cycles burner on
and off during operation, it hits the limit switch temp wise. Is this Normal?
unit seems to work fine, airflow seem to be good, heats the camper fine
but not sure if it should be cycling burner on and off with the limit switch.
Its a 65917-017

|This should not be happening.|
The short version is that you either have excess Propane or to little Air Flow.
Check 1st. LPG supply pressure while furnace on. Set to correct pressure. Normally regulators that need adjustment are going to fail soon and should be replaced.
Air flow, have you blocked one of your vents, added a furnace filter, it could also be a slow running motor or colapsed, blocked (Think Mice) or damaged heat duct.

|Thanks, Ill check this stuff again. Ive had it out, and it didn't seem to do this when I first put it back in,|
Its running off a 100lb bottle with an old regulator, flame looks nice... No filters, I do notice that the hose coming off the right side
that splits to 2 places has little flow, but the left hose has good flow, didn't see any restrictions... Ill check this over more carefully.
Should the case be cool enough to touch when running properly?
