Replacing an alternator on a 1985 winnabago chieftain Steve davis 11-27-15
How hard is it and is there anything specific to replacing it?

Without chassis info I can not answer properly.

It is and will be a real pain. There is nothing special other than plan to work inside and not track dirt out of the engine into the carpet and such. Plan to work from underneath and expect to crawl underneath and have to deal with that work enviroment.

A mechanical helper is enormous help on this type of repair.

Good Luck
