|Atwood 8940-iii-aclc furnace||Larry B.||11-23-15|
|I have an atwood 8940-iii-aclc furnace (AC) in a 1999 Trophy park model. The blower in the furnace won't come on when heat is demanded by the thermostat,but a quiet hum can be heard coming from it.There is also some heat coming from the blower motor itself.The 'squirrel cage' fan turns freely by hand.Is this a sign of a bad motor,a bad relay,or a bad capacitor?|
Or is there something else I should look into? Is there a way to test the motor/relay/capacitor?

|Hi Larry, sounds like a probable bad motor. Yes you can check it by direct wiring the two leads that go to the motor. Just be careful as you're working with 120V AC. I'd almost bet it won't work. Good luck|
