Atwood 8531-III Furnace by mel
Post New Message My fifth wheel has an Atwood 8531-III furnace and when it rains the furnace does not want to light off. It will light off then the flame will quit after 2-3 seconds. It will do this 3 times then go into the lock out mode. I have checked the igniter electrode which is a single electrode and it looks fine, as expected. I have not found any other electrodes which would confirm that the flame has indeed lit off. Does this model have the flame confirmation electrode? If so where is it located. If not how does the control board confirm that the flame is burning?
