|Kinked Fuel Lines for Generator 2003 Class C (Onan Microquiet 4000 ky) by Jimmy|
|So Far, I have replaced the Fuel Filter, Pump, Oil, Spark Plug, Carburetor and a portion of the rubber fuel line that is accessible.
The recently found kinked fuel lines prevent adequate fuel delivery to the Gen Set So I have temporarily bypassed them.
By doing so, I have good fuel flow to the generator however, the generator will only run for about 30 seconds and then shut off.
The code presented is 3 blinking lights (have serviced), I can re start the Generator but it will continue to shut off about 20-30 seconds after doing so.
1. Shouldn't the bypassed fuel lines allow the generator to run without issue? (I have 1/2 tank of fuel and the coach is parked on a semi level area)
2. Is it possible that the sensor that cuts off the generator at 1/4 tank is faulty, thus preventing my generator to continue to run?
3. When I figure out how to replace the fuel lines on top of the fuel tank that feed the generator will this fix the issue? (only concerned because when I bypassed the fuel tank earlier the gen set would not run for anything longer than 30 seconds.
Thanks in advance for any comments leading to me gaining my sanity back.
